In light of the Face Covering Order issued by the Cape Girardeau County Public Health Center, face coverings will be required for those entering The Chapel facility. Face coverings must be worn as attendees are up moving around in common areas (when coming and going, visiting the restroom, etc.), but can be removed while seated, providing social distance is properly maintained.  In some classrooms, it may not be possible to keep a 6-foot distance between individuals/family units, at which time face coverings must remain in place.

Children between the ages of 3 and 9 are strongly encouraged, but not required, to wear a face covering while under the supervision of an adult.

Sunday School classes and our Children's Ministry have resumed.  Social distancing measure and the face covering order will be observed.  Our Sick Child Policy can be read HERE.

We will continue to stream The Chapel's service on YouTube and Facebook Live for those who need to continue to worship at home.

Please visit our COVID-19 page for the most current information.

Operation Christmas Child - national collection week

November 16-23

The Chapel is proud to serve as the Cape Girardeau Drop Off Location for Operation Christmas Child again this year.  The drop-off location is the starting point for the journey each shoebox makes to children around the world.  Last year, OCC collected almost 11 million shoeboxes filled with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items to send to children in more than 100 countries.

We have empty shoeboxes available in the lobby, or you can build a box online as part of our goal to build 100 boxes online.

Locally, we anticipate collecting thousands of shoeboxes from area churches, groups, and individuals and prepare them for their journey to children around the world.  We would love to have you serve alongside us to reach children with the love of Christ.  Collection week for 2020 will be November 16-23.  To serve at our drop-off location during Collection Week, sign up online or call the office 573-334-5948.

The drop-off will be open two hours each day during National Collection Week.  You can find our hours (as well as hours for other locations) HERE.  If you have a large number of shoeboxes, please us call beforehand at 573-334-5948.

Parent Child Dedication

Sunday, November 22

During the 10:30 Worship Service on November 22, parents have an opportunity to make a public commitment before God and The Chapel body expressing the desire to raise their children biblically for the glory of the Lord.  Sign up by November 15th online or at the Family Check-in Center.  Contact Pastor Jeremy for more information.
