By serving our neighbors, we can show the love of Christ to others in tangible ways. Our church members volunteer their time in countless ways inside the church, at school and work, and throughout the Cape Girardeau community and beyond. How can you use your time and gifts to love others and glorify God? Several opportunities are listed below. If you are gifted in ways not listed, please let us know how we can help you be a blessing to others.

How we manage the resources God has given says a lot about our grasp of His plan for us.  True worship is about our response to all that God has done for us.  At The Chapel, we view supporting the local church financially as part of that response; giving is worship.  Managing our time, talents and resources well so that we can experience the abundance of a relationship with God through the relationships we have in a local body is what stewardship is about.

Through online giving, you can make a one time gift or schedule recurring contributions. Giving is processed through Planning Center Giving (via Stripe).

Did you know?

Using a bank account is the preferred giving method as this method costs The Chapel just $0.30 per transaction. Credit & Debit cards incur an additional 2.15% processing fee per transaction.

We ask that you do not mail cash. Cash is accepted in our offering boxes in the lobby and worship center. To receive a statement of giving at the end of the year, please place your cash inside an offering envelope with your name and contact information.

SERVING

Current opportunities to serve are listed below. Call or email the office to find out how you can use your gifts to serve others.

Nursery Volunteers
We are so blessed to have so many young children as part of our growing Chapel family. You can help care for these little ones on Sunday mornings and during Chapel events. More nursery volunteers are always welcome for Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings. Contact Pastor Jeremy for more info. We also have opportunities to serve during Mom2Mom (meets the second Friday of each month, September through May). Contact Mom2Mom for more info.

Praise Team
If God has blessed you with musical talent, or just a heart to serve Him in worship, we'd love for you to join our Music & AV team. Contact our worship pastor for more information about how you can get involved.

Short Term Missions

Each year The Chapel offers short-term mission trips. Over the years, teams have traveled to Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Texas, and North Carolina. Email our Missions Committee to get involved.


Planning Teams

If you want to be serve behind-the-scenes in a support role, planners and creative minds are always in demand. Roles are available in our Men's and Women's Ministry, for event planning for Vacation Bible School, and arranging to meet the physical needs of the body. Contact the office to find a fit for your gifts.


Options for Women

Options for Women is in need of volunteers at their center in Cape. Options for Women is an interdenominational, faith based, not-for-profit organization committed to serving women and families who are facing unplanned pregnancies. Their vision is to see life valued and families strengthened. If you are interested in serving and have 2-3 hours available per week, please call 573-339-2051 to learn about the opportunities available. More information at affirmlifecape.org.


Habitat for Humanity

The ReStore aims to provide affordable housing for all by selling new and gently used building materials, furniture, appliances, and other household items. They are always looking for and accepting donations and volunteers to make someone's dream of owning a home a reality. Call 573-651-9080 for more information.
