OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations.

Last year, OCC collected 11.3 million shoeboxes filled with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items to send to children around the world. Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has distributed 220 million joy-filled shoeboxes in more than 170 countries and territories.

What to pack

Decide whether you will pack for a boy or a girl and what age child you will pack a box for - ages 2–45–9, or 10–14. Next, select a medium to large "wow" item such as a soccer ball with pump or stuffed animal, then fill your shoebox with other fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies. Don’t forget to also include a personal note and photo - sometimes these are the child's favorite things to receive! Pray for the child who will receive your shoebox gift. And consider a donation of $10 per box to cover shipping and other project costs.

We have empty shoeboxes available in the lobby, or you can build a box online as part of our goal to build 50 boxes online.
